Gelatì tells an Italian story. The Meneghin family, in fact, has a gelato tradition dating back to 1961. It was the beginning of the Sixties when Beniamino Meneghin went to Germany and opened the first gelato shop in Gelatì’s long and tasty history. It is thanks to this man’s entrepreneurial spirit that the Gelatì brand is known the world over as a healthy and high-quality product. After the first gelato shop was opened, many more followed in other places throughout the years.

Over the years, this entrepreneurial spirit, along with the strength of a product like Gelatì, has constantly pushed the Gelatì family toward new and bigger goals.

The year 1972 was when the real challenge came: the first gelato shop inside a commercial shopping center. In 1983, son Egidio took over from his father: “And it is thanks to his values and teachings that I could manage the numerous gelato shops in Germany. I have to thank my father and my close business associates for the fact that from 1995 to today, the Meneghin Group has seen one of the most extraordinary growth cycles in the sector.”
